Final Instructions for Modesto Spirit of Giving 5K
Packet pickup: Friday, December 8th, 2017 (11am-6pm)
Vintage Faire Mall, 3401 Dale Road, Modesto, CA
Enter the mall on the 1st Floor through the Starbucks entrance or the Macy's Men's entrance. Packet pick-up will be located next to the escalator.Map of Pick Up Location
Note: To help speed up the process, team registrations will be grouped together. A designated person may pick up all or part of their team’s bibs and shirts. Shirts will be handed out according to the size specified on the entry form. Exchanges will not be allowed on Friday. Shirt exchange will be on race morning after registration closes.
Race Day Parking:
There is ample parking on the streets. Arrive early to avoid the rush. Parking garages; 11th and K Street Ninth Street, between L and K.
Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup:
Race day registration and packet pickup will be located in front of Brenden Theater. Registration will be open from 7AM, until 8:15 AM (no exceptions)
Race Day Start Times:
8:25 - Wheelchair Participants (start line 10th and J Streets)
8:30. 5K (start line 10th and J Streets)
9:45. Kids Free “Chase the Grinch” Run (10 and under) Start Line at 10th and I Streets.
Restrooms are located inside Brenden Theater. Porta-potties will be located on J St near Ralston’s Goat.
Free Kids "Chase the Grinch" Run (10 and Under):
There will be a special Fun Run registration booth near the City Christmas Tree. One canned food item is required for registration. Please register your children early on race morning to avoid the last minute crowd. After registering, take your canned food item to the Gospel Mission truck to receive your bicycle raffle ticket and Brenden Movie ticket. Kids Fun Run Start Line is located at the corner of 10th and I Streets.
Male and female and Age division winners (5 year age groups) can pick up their medals at the Awards Booth located near Fuzio Universal Bistro
Canned Foods and Raffle Prizes:
The Gospel Mission will be collecting all canned food items and will be drawing winners of the raffle prizes. Look for the Gospel Mission truck in front of Rodin Farms Store on the corner of 10th and J. Please remember to bring cans of food for our food drive. If you do forget, a $1.00 donation equals a can of food, in regards to earning raffle tickets.
Free Holiday Movie:
This year’s movie is the Polar Express and will be showing at Brenden Theater at 10:30AM. Moviegoers must either have received a ticket when registering for the Fun Run, or must bring a canned food item to the Theatre entrance.
